Greenbank Developments have helped many people extend their homes over the years from contemporary urban glass extensions to traditional barn conversions. Besides affordable house extension cost, our reputation has been built on designing beautiful spaces that improve the way you live and add value to your home. Our design process enables us to explore various design options with you before we embark on the detailed design phase allowing you to be confident that the final design really is right for you.
We will be able to manage your project from concept design through to project management of the build.
This leads us to the question that everyone wants to know ‘What will it cost?” While specifications and designs can differ considerably we have put together a build cost guide to help you understand what to expect, see below
WHAT WILL IT COST TO BUILD?
This is always one of the first questions we are asked. It is also a very difficult question to answer as there are many factors that need to be considered such as the size of the project, the materials used and clients desired specification. However we have put together some indicative costs based on previous experience to try and give some understanding of what you might expect:
HOUSE EXTENSION COSTS:
£900-£1800 PER SQ M APPROX.
The above figure is representative of a well designed and executed single storey extension in the South East area. The range represents the difference in finish from a standard to high end. A Victorian Terrace ‘Side Return’ Extension would be considerably higher because of the additional complexities involved in the build.
INTERNAL ALTERATIONS AND MODIFICATIONS:
£800 – £1200 PER SQ M APPROX.
Invariably extension projects tend to creep back in to the rest of the house and as such if you are intending to remodel and alter the rest of the house it is prudent to budget a square meterage cost for that also.
